Beautiful Solzhenitsyn quote; beautiful enough to make me use this cheesy-but-cute symbol: <3
“How simple for me to live with You, O Lord! How easy to believe in You! When in confusion my soul bears itself or bends, when the most wise can see no further than this night and do not know what tomorrow brings, You fill me with the clear certainty that You exist, and that You watch to see that all the paths of righteousness be not closed. From the heights of worldly glory I am astonished by the path through despair your have provided me, this path from which I have been worthy enough to reflect Your radiance to men. All that I will yet reflect You will grant me. And for that which I will not succeed in reflecting, You have appointed others.”

That is a great quote! I just rinished reading Solzheinitsyn's One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch. I found a great quote in there that I've been meaning to put on my blog. I think I might use this quote in conjunction with the one I found.

I have read One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. It is a wonderful book and he is a wonderful author.
Because so much of literature (even good literature) is completely secularized and humanized, it's really breathtaking for me to read great novels from devout authors. Which is why I love Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Solzhenitsyn. In my opinion, novels without some element of spirituality or God present a crippled and incomplete perspective on humanity anyway...
This is a good essay by Solzhenitsyn.
